Denture Stabilization
Denture stabilization, or implant-supported dentures, address and correct a lot of the issues normally associated with conventional dentures that rest on your gums. With denture stabilization, our doctors install implants that replace the root and body of the tooth and provide a secure anchor for your partial or complete dentures. The two-part implant consists of a post that is inserted into your jaw, and a crown piece that replicates a tooth. For patients missing several teeth in one section, oftentimes one implant can be used for that section. Each patient and situation are different, of course, so consult with your Elegance Dental dentist today for your specific needs. Soon you will be on your way to having natural looking and feeling dentures that allow you to eat the foods you love and get back to your normal lifestyle.
How Do I Know If I’m Eligible for Dental Implants?
Before installing implants, your dentist will conduct a thorough examination to ensure that your general health, oral health, bone structure and gums are in good health. Only after a thorough exam will your dentist be able to determine if implants are right for you.
Fixed Dentures
Dental implants anchor the replacement teeth directly into your jawbone, just like your natural teeth. The implant sits just under the gum line, meaning they are invisible under the tooth, and cannot be seen. All you will see will be the fixed denture. Fixed dentures are comfortable to wear and are both dependable and durable. The porcelain tooth is permanently cemented to the implant, and never comes out. Fixed dentures will not slide or come loose and look like natural teeth. Call Elegant dental for more information.
